Il Mollettaio skillfully and precisely used wooden clothespins to recreate every architectural detail of the Basilica Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Each clothespin was carefully positioned with millimetric precision to represent the columns, arches, windows and ornaments found in the original structure, creating a three-dimensional depiction that captures the essence and grandeur of the Cathedral of Messina. The Basilica Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is one of the main places of worship and historical symbol of Messina. Its construction began in the 12th century and features a mix of architectural styles, including Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque. 

Il Mollettaio succeeded in capturing the spirit of this important sanctuary through his masterful use of wooden clothespins, paying homage to its beauty and its cultural and religious significance.
