I am The Mollettaio

I am Domenico Cardile, known as The Mollettaio, an artist who transforms simple wooden clothespins into works of art that evoke the magnificence of churches. With care and precision, I create extraordinary architectural structures, using clothespins as if they were "bricks", not by chance, since I am also a master bricklayer.

My works are a tribute to creativity and to the beauty that can be found even in the most ordinary objects. I am proud to share my unique talent with the world. My profession has always been in the construction field; I worked as a mason until I was diagnosed with a rare illness. Fortunately, I recovered, but I could no longer continue my job. However, I've never liked being idle, so I decided to give space to my artistic side.

My passion came to life little by little, over the years, I refined my technique, dedicating myself to ever larger and more majestic creations. It wasn't easy to learn, since there is no "tutorial" on how to work with wooden clothespins!

This website aims to share my art with everyone and to make it known as widely as possible.

THE ARTWORKS MADE WITH WOODEN CLOTHESPINS

My art shows that beauty can be found  even in the simplest and most unexpected objects. Art is everywhere and never stops enchanting our eyes and touching our souls. Transforming wooden clothespins into works of art is a testimony to the creative power of humanity and to the incredible ability of art to surprise and inspire us. Each piece is a journey that intertwines emotions, stories and visions, revealing the depth within the simplicity of everyday life. Savoring the magic of an apparently ordinary object transformed by art is an invitation to rediscover the world through a lens of wonder and curiosity.
