Children are the joy of the family,
When they are born and are small,
You always hold them in your arms,
And with your hands you caress him.
Then they get to walk and up to five years,
You always have them for the house and this is the most beautiful thing.
Then they start studying and a thought consoles you,
That they are scholars and good at school.
You raise them with a lot of love and affection,
And you start to have the beats in the chest,
As parents we have one thing in our hearts,
And we pray to the Lord to accompany them at all hours.

I figghi sunnu a gioia da famigghia.
Quannu nasciunu e sunnu addevi,
l’hai sempri nta li brazza,
e chi mani ci fai na carizza.
Poi arrivunu a caminari e finu a cinc'anni,
l'hai sempri casa casa e chista ie a chiu bella cosa.
Dopu cuminciunu a studiari e nu pinzeri ti cunzola,
chi sunnu studiusi e bravi a scola.
I crisci cu tantu amuri e tantu affettu,
e cuminci aviri u pappitu nto pettu,
comu genitori na cosa avemu nta lu cori,
e pricamu lu Signuri mi ccumpagna a tutti l'uri.
