Where is the artwork located?

THE ARTWORK CAN BE VISITED FREE OF CHARGE AT THE PARISH OF THE SAME NAME LOCATED IN BORDONARO, MESSINA.
This is one the Mollettaio's most important works, as Bordonaro is the very place where the artist was born and raised. The artwork is currently preserved inside the church bearing the same name, the same church where the artist's funeral was held in 2023, an event that brought together the entire Bordonaro community.
The piece, therefore, represents not only a church but also a part of the artist's life. The current parish priest, Father Severino, personally knew Il Mollettaio and keeps this work with great care. The nave where it is displayed is adorned with angelic figures, making the visit and viewing experience even more immersive and evocative.
The Parish of Santa Maria delle Grazie, located in the Bordonaro district of Messina, is a place of worship rich in history and devotion. Built in the hearth of one of the city's oldest villages, it serves as a spiritual and cultural landmark for the local community. Its simple yet evocative architecture reflects the traditional Sicilian style, while inside one can admire sacred artworks and details that tell the story of centuries of faith and tradition.
